Academics

Grade R

Our Grade R programme provides children with a joyful, nurturing introduction to school life. Learning is child-centred, play-based and developmentally appropriate, allowing learners to explore, discover and grow through meaningful experiences.

With two Grade R classes and purpose-designed facilities, learners develop strong foundations in early literacy and numeracy while building confidence, independence, creativity and positive social relationships. Through purposeful play and guided learning experiences, they develop curiosity, resilience, problem-solving skills and a lifelong love of learning, laying a firm foundation for future academic success.

Foundation Phase

(Grades 1–3)

Our Foundation Phase consists of three classes per grade, allowing educators to provide individual attention within a caring, supportive and stimulating learning environment.

Teaching focuses on building strong foundations in literacy and numeracy while nurturing curiosity, creativity and critical thinking. Learners are encouraged to become confident communicators, independent thinkers and responsible members of the school community.

Through a child-centred approach, our educators recognise that every child learns and develops at their own pace. Meaningful learning experiences build confidence, encourage active participation and foster the knowledge, skills and values that support lifelong learning.

Intermediate & Senior Phase

(Grades 4–7)

The Intermediate and Senior Phases build on the strong foundations established in the early years, with three classes in each grade ensuring that learners continue to receive individual support as they prepare for the increasing academic demands of high school.

Our educators challenge learners to think critically, solve problems creatively, work collaboratively and become independent, responsible learners. Alongside academic excellence, equal emphasis is placed on developing character, leadership, resilience, integrity and respect.

Learners are encouraged to take ownership of their learning while embracing opportunities in academics, sport, culture, technology and leadership. Through a balanced, values-based education, they are equipped with the confidence, knowledge and skills needed to succeed both at school and in life.
